POCP EDU: Phase One Certified Professional Training brought to students

In the modern photo industry, the differentiation between traditional “Assistants” and specialized “Digital Techs” is an increasingly important one. While both are critical parts of a crew, photographers and clients expect a specialized skill set from their Digital Techs to ensure that image capture, review, and file management all function seamlessly, and that when something goes wrong, their tech knows how to fix it.

The Phase One Certified Professional Program provides Digital Techs and others looking to build additional skills with an intensive two-day course using Phase One’s industry-standard workflow camera systems and Capture One Pro software. Throughout the course, students will receive hands-on training with the latest Phase One equipment and software, and upon completion, will be listed in Phase One’s Certified Professional online database. Photographers are more likely to choose certified digital technicians to ensure that the tech they hire has the knowledge and experience to get the most out of the Phase One equipment and software on set.

Pricing:

Cost of training is $399 for students and $499 for non-students. You must be a student to get the price. Students must provide a student ID to receive the discounted price.

For student pricing please send a copy of your student ID to courses@digitaltransitions.com before your purchase, you will receive a unique coupon code for your registration.

*As we will build on the information from the online courses during the training, you MUST complete all courses before the EDU POCP event. Each course is a mixture of articles and videos and includes 1-2 short quizzes. You can take the quizzes as many times as necessary, but you must get an 80% to move forward within the course. We expect that the entire online course should not take more than 5 hours total.

Refunds & Rescheduling Policies:

Please be sure that you are available to attend both days of training and will be able to complete your Qualification Tests before signing up for the course. Our policy is that we do not offer rescheduling options. It is difficult to fill open seats close to the training, as attendees require time to take their qualification tests.

Please also note that there are no refunds, as once you have signed up and paid, we provide you with Capture One Pro ($299 value) and your Phase One Qualification Testing License ($150 value). Digital Transitions is responsible for those costs once you have activated them.

Registration:

For student pricing please send a copy of your student ID to courses@digitaltransitions.com before your purchase, you will receive a unique coupon code for your registration.

To register, first sign up and complete the Pre-Course to make sure you are ready for certification training. When registering, please use the same email that you have used for your account on PhaseOne.com. If you do not have an account on PhaseOne.com, please create one as well (the pre-course and our website are technically separate entities). If you become certified, we tie the certification to your Phase One account.

Once logged in you will find 4 courses. Each course is a mixture of articles and videos and includes 1-2 short quizzes. You can take the quizzes as many times as necessary but you must get an 80% to move forward within the course. We expect that the entire course should not take more than 5 hours total. Breaking it up over a few nights is the best bet.

The FAQ in the introduction course will provide you with important information about the program and should answer most of your questions. Please keep in mind that you MUST complete all courses before the EDU POCP event. At the event, we will build on the information in this course so if you do not complete it in time you will have difficulty with the main training. If you experience any strange behavior in the online course we suggest clearing your cache and cookies and logging back in. You can also try a different browser. Best of luck and we will see you at training!
